An Orthopedic Physical Therapist for over 20 years, Lisa Paradiso is committed to helping people heal. She’s successfully helped patients with a wide range of issues, including professional or recreational sports injuries, work-related pain or damage, post-operative conditions, and spinal or sacroiliac dysfunctions. Lisa brings functional expertise as well as a deep understanding of the psychological aspects of physical trauma and healing.
Her credentials include a BS in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Biomechanics (UC Davis), a Master’s in Physical Therapy (Shenandoah University, VA). She is also a certified Functional Movement Screen practitioner, Champion Performance Specialist, Certified Functional Gait specialist and a Pilates mat trainer. Lisa played high school and collegiate softball and has used that experience in her specialty of treating throwing athletes. She was also a collegiate cyclist which gives her insight to cycling injuries. In her career with a highly-regarded SF Bay Area multidisciplinary clinic, she’s worked alongside chiropractors, physicians, massage therapists and acupuncturists, giving her the unique experience of working with her clients’ medical professional teams to achieve optimal recovery.
Lisa strives to be an integral part of every client’s recovery and strengthening process. Her approach to physical therapy is highly personalized, designing corrective exercises suited for each person’s specific needs and objectives. Whether you’re a weekend runner, hiker, walker or bicyclist who wants to get back to enjoying Mt. Tam, a triathlete striving to compete in the Alcatraz Tri or Ironman again, or your desire is to work and live comfortably, Lisa can help you get there. Personally, she’s worked through her own spinal pain and intensive hip surgery, and appreciates the importance of working with a dedicated, empathetic, highly skilled and engaged professional. Now, she fully enjoys her native Marin outdoor playground, and spends her weekends with her husband, dog and friends swimming, paddle boarding, hiking and enjoying being outdoors whenever possible.
